“This is the umbilical cord with Zeist,” says Adri Odding, chairman of the Huis ter Heide Neighborhood and Interest Association, while the A28 traffic rushes by beneath him. “We have to go to Zeist for all our facilities: the doctor, the dentist, the shops. Everything we used to have in the village has now disappeared. We use this viaduct every day.”
