Parasport: The couple’s great success – double medals: “Dream big”

It was in the women’s long jump that Tara Davis-Woodhall won an Olympic gold just a few weeks ago. Then and there she got to celebrate with her tearful partner, Hunter Woodhall, who was in the stands.

At the Paralympics, the joy was at least as great.

Hunter Woodhall, who is a double amputee, was born with fibular hemimelia (a too short calf or none at all) and took home the gold in the athletics race over 400 meters. This time Tara was in the stands and the couple once again got to celebrate together.

– This is a lesson in trying to aim for the stars and reach big goals, dream big, do your best, says Hunter Woodhall after the victory.
