The tributes have poured in for Sarah Sjöström after the Olympic gold.
A really nice gesture has now come from the artist Benjamin Ingrosso.
– It was really powerful. So very nice of him, says Sarah to Expressen.
The fifth Olympic competition in his career was also the very best for Sarah Sjostrom. The Swedish swimming queen won double Olympic gold in 50 meters and 100 meters freestyle and became the big blue and yellow hero in Paris.
Sjöström’s success
During Monday, the Swede was back on Swedish soil again and also back in the swimming pool again. When the 30-year-old’s very own swimming competition “Sjöström Invitational” was decided in Stockholm.

Many Swedes were there to see and pay tribute to the two-time gold hero. On stage, she also received a nice gift from the Swedish Swimming Association.
– I think it was champagne, I didn’t have time to check properly. My fiance had to carry it up to the suite, says Sarah with a laugh to Expressen.
Ingrosso’s Tribute
Sjöström admits that she will probably celebrate with the bottle when she marries her love Johan de Jong Skierus later in September.
– We’ll see! But it will probably go away. Now I’m going to take it easy and not live in this sports bubble where you have to be so punctual with all the routines. I’m going to let it go for a while and relax. So this bottle will probably run out at some point, says the swimming star in the interview.

Sarah Sjöström has been praised by the vast majority in recent weeks for her incredible feat during the Summer Olympics. The very finest tribute came at Stockholm’s stadium last Friday when the artist Benjamin Ingrosso performed to 30,000 spectators.
Unknown relationship
Then he made a beautiful tribute to the swimming queen.
– It was great. Unbelievable the support I got there. It was powerful, really. So very nice of him, says Sjöström to the evening newspaper.
– He got it in well. I wondered how he was going to get it in, because I thought he was going to mention it. I think he got it in very nicely when he started talking about being in a historic arena and got it in very professionally.

Sjöström now reveals the unknown relationship with the acclaimed artist. Where she has gotten to know Benjamin through their shared interest in food and restaurants.
– We usually share tips. If he sees that I’ve been to a restaurant somewhere. Then he can ask what I think. And I ask him for tips, Sarah says of their friendship.
