In recent years, the number of illegal refugees in the UK has increased, and citizens of the country have been holding numerous protests. The size of the protests has increased and tensions have risen in the country.
In England, British citizens broke into a hotel where illegal refugees were staying and set part of the building on fire.
Illegal refugees also began to revolt against the British. The images became trending on social media. The number of people detained increased.
Following the protests organised by far-right groups in England and Northern Ireland, which began at the beginning of the week and continued in many cities yesterday, 92 people were detained.
“YOU WILL REGRET WHAT YOU DID”
Making a statement after the incident, British Prime Minister Starmer said about the anti-refugee protesters, “You will regret what you have done.”
The police forces responsible for the regions made statements regarding the protests held in Liverpool, Hull, Bristol, Blackpool, Preston, Blackburn and Stoke-on-Trent in England.
Merseyside Police, responsible for the Liverpool area, announced that a total of 23 people were arrested following yesterday’s events, two of whom were arrested for the attack on a mosque and police in Southport earlier in the week.
Humberside Police, responsible for the Hull area, announced that 20 people were arrested in the incidents that escalated yesterday, with one person allegedly being stabbed.
20 PEOPLE WERE DETAINED!
Avon and Somerset Police said 14 people were detained in Bristol after mounted police cracked down on far-right and dissident activists late last night.
Lancashire Police, which is responsible for Blackpool, where a ban on meetings and demonstrations has been imposed, as well as Preston and Blackburn, where different incidents have taken place, announced that a total of 20 people were detained in the three cities.
In Stoke-on-Trent, where incidents escalated after a person was allegedly stabbed, Staffordshire Police announced that 10 people were detained and that the stabbing claim was not true.
The Police of Northern Ireland announced that two people were arrested following incidents where right-wing extremists gathered around a mosque last night and damaged some businesses, while one person was arrested following the incidents in Leeds and two in Leicester.
