There was an explosion last night on Spaaklaan in the Kanaleneiland district of Utrecht. No one was injured, but windows were blown out. The explosion took place between 3:30 and 4:00, the police confirmed. It was probably heavy fireworks, the police say, even though no traces of fireworks were found at the scene.
