Finland has received a surprising place at the Paris Olympics in women’s trap shooting.

The Shooting Sports Association announces on Friday that the Finnish Olympic team has received one additional place in shooting at the Paris Summer Olympics.

It is about restoring and redistributing unused space. The place is given to the country that does not have a place in that sport and whose athlete has the highest ranking.

The Olympic Committee will make a selection decision on the matter on Wednesday next week.

About Finnish trap shooters Noora Antikainen is ranked 18th in the Olympic ranking, Pug Veromaa ranked 23rd and The fairy tale Mäkelä-Nummela in place 25. Mäkelä-Nummela is the Beijing 2008 Olympic champion and a four-time Olympic representative.

Two shooters have previously been named to the Finnish Olympic team: Eetu Kallioinen for men’s skeet and Aleksi Leppä to the men’s rifle.
