Max Caufield, the hero of the original game, returns in a supernatural murder mystery that will take you through two different timelines. Three years have passed since the last game of the Life is Strange series, Life is Strange: If you are wondering how much time has passed since True Colors, your questions have been answered. Square Enix and developer Deck Nine announced the new game of the series, titled Life is Strange, at the recently held Xbox Games Showcase: Double Exposure.

Interestingly, Double Exposure will once again put players in the shoes of Max Caufield, the protagonist of the first game in the series. It is thought that Max’s time manipulation powers will also return and a supernatural mystery will form the backbone of the game. But here’s the catch: as Max, players will unravel this mystery across not one but two different timelines, which will present some interesting narrative and choice-based opportunities. Life is Strange: Double Exposure launches on October 29 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game is also in development for Nintendo Switch, but there is no release date on the platform.
