Despite four shots on target and a lot of sharp goal chances in both directions in the first period, the first full hit of the match only came after barely 32 minutes of play.

Marcus Krüger sent the puck in front of the goal and via Simon Bertilsson’s stick it was directed in behind Damian Clara and the guests thus silenced large parts of the Monitor ERP Arena.

Djurgården then had the chance in the power play at the beginning of the third period, but the chances did not materialize and Brynäs cleaned up two minutes and then they shot offensive speed and Johannes Kinnvall broke in front of the goal. The puck finally landed on Tyler Kelleher, who scored his fourth goal in the final series.

A short time later, it was time again for Brynäs and it was Djurgården’s turn to score a goal. Karlis Cukste sent in a loose puck in front of the goal. Calle Odelius didn’t manage to get the puck, but he steered it towards Andrén, who in turn had lifted the shin guard in a preparatory action. The puck found its way in and Brynäs had turned the game around in a flash.

– Little little little touch from Odelius and Andrén sets it up. Obviously unfortunate, commented TV4’s expert Johan Tornberg.

Brynäs then held on and won game two 2-1. A bloodied Karlis Cukste summed up the feeling after match two.

– We won, so it’s the best feeling in the world, he told TV4.
