This concerns help for Utrecht residents with, for example, an intellectual disability, psychological problems, addicts or other people who cannot participate independently in society. By taking on the debt assistance tasks for these people itself, the municipality wants to speed up the provision of services and significantly shorten the current waiting list. This should also make the range of assistance more transparent, says responsible councilor Linda Voortman.
