It was just before 11pm on Monday evening that the shooting took place. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The police are on site at Gamlegården in Kristianstad with several patrols. The area has been cordoned off and technicians have been called to the scene.
– We are working to secure findings and traces while at the same time we have a search operation underway for a perpetrator. We are still very early in this effort and are working to get a picture of what happened, says Filip Annas, press spokesperson at the police.
There is currently no suspected perpetrator.
– We search with dog patrol and drones. We are also talking to witnesses and will be knocking on doors in the area.
