“People who live near the Hofpoort can still get to their home,” the municipality says. The Hofpoort is normally only accessible to cyclists and pedestrians and during busy events the city center of Vianen is difficult to access by car. To accommodate residents of Hofplein, they are allowed to enter the gate by car on those days.
