Fujitsu Took a Major Transformation Step

Fujitsu, one of Japan’s leading technology companies, is preparing to make radical changes in its business model. The company is stepping into a new transformation process by deciding to separate its PC and hardware operations. Fujitsu decided to establish a new company called Fsas Technologies, which will house its hardware operations. This strategic step aims to transition the company to a more sustainable and profitable business model in line with its 2030 vision.

Fujitsu switches to a more profitable business model

Effective April 1, 2024, Fsas Technologies is taking over Fujitsu’s hardware operations in Japan. The new company is primarily active in the development, production and sales of the server and storage portfolio. With this step, Fujitsu aims to give its current operations a more effective and customized structure.

Fujitsu’s services such as IPCOM network servers used in Japan and corporate computer sales/support are also included in the new company. The company has approximately 7,500 employees working in the field of hardware products and services. Although Fujitsu states that this separation will initially affect the Japanese market, it emphasizes that global operations will not be affected by this change.
