“We are now in a different situation with not the same dire need as last winter. Back then we were in a unique situation, where many families had a generic problem in a short period of time,” says councilor Voortman about the adjusted standard. “Because we have less money available, we have decided to reduce the group of people who receive energy reimbursement to households up to 120 percent of the social assistance standard.”
