It was in March of this year that the police during a house search found a gun with one of the then 17-year-old girls. One has since turned 18.
The background to the prosecution is a conflict between a Malmö resident and an internationally wanted drug dealer, who, according to Sydsvenskan, has connections to the wanted gang leader Rawa Majid.
According to the verdict, the drug dealer ordered the murder of the Malmö resident by the now convicted 20-year-old man. The young women kept a gun and accompanied the 20-year-old to the Malmö resident’s address. But the murder never took place – the intended target was not at home at the time.
According to the district court, it has not been proven that the two young women actually understood what was going to happen and therefore they are acquitted of preparation for murder. However, they are both sentenced to youth care for serious weapons offences.
The 20-year-old is sentenced to seven years in prison for preparation for murder and aggravated weapons offences. He must also pay SEK 120,000 in damages to the crime victim.
A fourth defendant, a 23-year-old man, is acquitted of aiding and abetting the preparation of murder.
