Nigerian sprinter Divine Oduduru suspended for six years

Nigerian sprinter Divine Oduduru has been suspended for six years for two anti-doping violations, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced. Oduduru, who holds the Nigerian 200m record (19 sec 73 in 2019), was provisionally suspended last February. The AIU indicated on Thursday October 12 that he would be suspended for six years for possession and attempted use of prohibited substances. The suspension, retroactive, applies until February 2029. The sprinter was also ordered to pay $3,000 to the International Athletics Federation to cover costs related to the case.
