Three teens injured in Sarnia stabbings police investigating

Police are investigating after three teens were injured, two seriously, in stabbings in Sarnia Friday, city police say.

At 11:01 pm police were called to the 7-11 on Christina Street North about an altercation and, responding, found a 16-year-old male with serious injuries to his torso and arm, as well as a 16-year-old female with a minor injury to her hand, police said.

Police were told the original incident involved several youths and that a suspect had fled the scene, police said.

Shortly after, at 11:07 pm, police were called to a private residence about a male who had been stabbed, police said.

When police and emergency medical services arrived they found a 17-year-old male with serious stab wounds to his torso, police said, noting he was also connected to the original incident on Christina Street.

All three were taken to Bluewater Health for treatment, and the two with serious injuries were subsequently taken to London Health Sciences, where they remain under care, police said in a Saturday morning press release.

The 16-year-old female was treated and released from Bluewater Health, police said.

Police called the stabbings an isolated incident and said the parties involved are known to each other.

Anyone with information about the incident, including video, is asked to contact police at 519-344-8861 ext. 6184, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
