In Benin, on May 3, 2003, a concert by Congolese artist Koffi Olomidé turned tragic at the Stade de l’Amitié in Cotonou. Among the thousands of spectators who came to listen to it, 17 people died in a stampede. Twenty years later, Koffi Olomidé stayed in Cotonou from Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 May, to show his solidarity with the relatives of the victims and to pay tribute to those he calls the “martyrs of tcha-tcho”, the rhythm with which he is the inventor.
