GO professional plays the new Counter-Strike 2 and shows that he’s still got it

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Access to the Counter-Strike 2 beta is hot right now. Twitch streamer Tarik Celik (27) is one of the lucky ones who are already allowed to gamble. And the former CS professional also showed directly that he still has it right.

What streamer is this? Tarik used to be a professional CS:GO pro and then, like some of his peers, switched to Valorant. After the end of his professional career, he really took off on Twitch and within 2 years became one of the most watched streamers worldwide.

Unsurprisingly, Tarik is one of the chosen streamers to earn coveted beta access to the CS:GO sequel, Counter-Strike 2. In his stream of March 22nd he started right away.

Similar to Overwatch 2, Counter-Strike 2 will probably be an upgrade of the existing Counter-Strike. You can see what will change in our video:

Tarik probably gets the first ace

What did Tarik achieve? After the streamer had tweaked his settings a bit and had a few deathmatches behind him, Tarik threw himself into his first real game of Counter-Strike 2, albeit still unranked.

Also in attendance were CS:GO pro Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert and “human aimbot” Michael “shroud” Grzesiek. Things didn’t get too hot on the first map, however, as the top-class group tried to get a feel for the new engine.

Tarik was probably the fastest, because the streamer really got going on the second map: the 27-year-old eliminated the first CT players with two crisp headshots before chasing the remaining opponents.

How did the streamer react? Very cool. 3 more headshots later, Tarik nonchalantly declared, “I just got my first ‘CS 2’ ace”. His Twitch colleague, CS:GO pro Erik “fl0m” Flom, was quick to remind him that it’s not about who gets the first ace, it’s about who can put an ace online first.

In fact, other content creators, including English pro Owen “smooyacs” Butterfield, have since posted their respective aces. That didn’t stop Tarik’s fans from celebrating him, filling the chat with shouts like “EZ ace,” “Sheeeesh,” and the popular “PogU” emote.

While Tarik, shroud and Co. are already busy shooting, the German streamer Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler is still trying to get access to the beta on Twitter. However, his methods are not so well received, because the 28-year-old was literally begging for a key:
