Thai authorities are searching for a cylinder-shaped container that went missing on Friday in Prachinburi province, east of Bangkok.

The cylinder is radioactive and if it were to be opened, it could lead to serious injuries.

– Then you are exposed to a very high risk of cancer and serious burns. So please don’t break it, Permsuk Sutchaphiwat of the country’s nuclear safety office told TT.

Authorities are asking the public for help in the search, stressing that the container is safe as long as it is not opened.

Two men who participated in the Easter riots in Örebro have had their sentences reduced in the Supreme Court, something that raises questions for the police.

“Of course, we can’t help but ask ourselves what we as police officers will actually have to endure in order to apply the higher part of the penalty scale,” says commanding officer Emelie Bodegrim in a statement on the police’s website.

The men were convicted of serious blue light sabotage in the Court of Appeal after the events in Sveaparken. But then their sentences were reduced from about five years to three years and three years and three months respectively.

“Our employees who were in Sveaparken during the riot had to experience something that closely resembled a war zone while they were defending our democracy. But the verdict gives us guidance in what will be most important for us going forward in the continued investigation,” says Emelie Bodegrim.

An American reaper drone has collided with a Russian Su-27 fighter jet over the Black Sea, Reuters reports.

According to the news agency, the Russian plane must have hit the propeller of the drone, causing it to crash into the Black Sea.

    – Two Russian Su-27 fighter jets conducted an unsafe and unprofessional interception of an unmanned MQ-9 surveillance aircraft operating in international waters over the Black Sea, the US military writes in a press release.

The US calls the Russian action “reckless”.

“Our MQ-9 drone was conducting routine operations in international airspace when it was intercepted and struck by a Russian aircraft, resulting in a crash and total loss of the drone,” said General James Hecker.

According to White House spokesman John Kirby, President Joe Biden has been briefed on the crash.

    – Unsafe, unprofessional and reckless, says John Kirby.

NATO also states that it has informed its allies about the incident.

  • All flights to and from Greece are canceled on Thursday

A nationwide strike among air traffic controllers is scheduled to take place in Greece on Thursday.

The strike is planned to last 24 hours.

All flights to and from Greece will therefore be canceled from 00.01 on the night of Thursday.

The reason for the strike is the train accident that took place on February 28, when 57 people died when a passenger train and a freight train collided near the city of Larissa in Greece.

The strike, called by the country’s largest private and public sector unions, is the latest in a series of protests against the conservative government and against a political system they say has repeatedly ignored calls from unions for safety measures, Greek media reported.
