Thursday morning had not yet dawned on February 24 last year, but Vladimir Putin emphasized every syllable as he uttered the fateful words:
– I have decided to launch a special military operation.
Over 300,000 dead. At least 5 million people displaced. Weapons aid from the West worth SEK 400 billion. And a reconstruction that is believed to cost at least 4,000 billion.
Today marks one year since the full-scale invasion began. What was intended as a quick conquest – is still ongoing. And right now there is no end in sight to the war in Ukraine.
