Those dishes are not for Simon himself, but for Bas Pinto. He has lived for 30 years in a protected residential group, near the community center. Although he lives there independently, cooking is difficult for him. “I can’t stand for very long, and I’m not very handy,” he explains. That is why he cooks a simple meal himself once a week and occasionally eats at the community center.
