Utrecht – The crisis on the Utrecht housing market has reached a new high. The Municipal Executive of Utrecht expects to be short of 500 homes for Utrecht residents in a vulnerable position this year. The municipality expects to need a total of 1600 homes for vulnerable Utrecht residents this year, but only 1100 homes are expected to be available for this group, the municipality writes. In total, approximately 3600 homes will become available on the social rental market in Utrecht in 2023.
