With his two 47 Meters Down films, director Johannes Roberts has shot two well-done horror films that include the subgenre of shark terror serious tension and oppressive atmosphere enrich.

You can watch the second part on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. as a German free TV premiere on VOX. Here the captivating struggle for survival eventually reaches completely wacky spheres.

47 Meters Down: Uncaged is a survival trip and crazy shark horror rolled into one

The story of 47 Meters Down: Uncaged revolves around stepsisters Mia (Sophie Nélisse) and Sasha (Corinne Foxx) who are supposed to get along better during a vacation by the sea. Two of Sasha’s friends eventually persuade the group to dive into a sunken Mayan city. Here the youngsters are soon surprised by deadly sharks and have to fight for survival.

In the sequel, the director reduces the charms of the genre to the bare minimum and offers gripping horror tension in the chilling underwater setting. Straight through the deserted, pitch black Mayan ruins and the simple trick to alienate the eyes of the sharks in a zombie-like wayupping the scary factor in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged.

In addition to the suspense, the film continues to increase until the appropriately exaggerated finale, which raises the sequel to completely bizarre spheres without any silly trash crashes. The ending of 47 Meters Down 2 has to be seen to be believed.
