Launched last year, the 2022 Mercedes-AMG SL entered the Turkish charts with its SL 63 version.
The SL badge, which is one of the important parts of Mercedes history, has returned in the last year in a way that will dazzle all its enthusiasts. Four-wheel maneuverability is also offered for the first time in the model, which will open the doors of a brand new user experience as it is supported by the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The 2022 Mercedes-AMG SL, which has been on sale in Europe for a while, has recently entered the lists of Turkey. The car, whose sales started in Turkey over the SL 63 version, comes with a very serious tax burden due to its 4.0-liter engine volume. The tag of the model, whose list price is 3.060.090 TL excluding taxes, is an incredible 11.575.000 TL with taxes. level up.
Highlights for the 2022 Mercedes-AMG SL
Compared to the previous generation, the new generation SL range is positioned 115 millimeters ahead of the wheelbase and 74 millimeters in total length. These changes, which make the car look more satisfying when blended with the renewed design character, are complemented by modern engines in the infrastructure. The current entry-level SL 55 version of the product range, in which the mild-hybrid option shows itself in addition to the gasoline engine, awaits users. In this version, where the 4.0-liter V8 is positioned, 470 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque are offered. With the SL 63, which is a top package, these values increase to 557 horsepower and 800 Nm. As a result of the tests carried out by Mercedes, while it takes 3.9 seconds for the SL 55 to accelerate from 0 to 100, this value decreases to 3.6 seconds with the SL 63. The gearbox combination is realized via 9-stage automatic for both packages.
With the seventh generation, the infrastructure of the SL product range has also completely changed. Thanks to the new infrastructure architecture, which brings new boundaries in terms of engineering, vital infrastructure elements of the vehicle such as engine and axle can be positioned lower. In this way, the new SL, whose center of gravity is positioned lower, has a radical improvement compared to the previous generation in terms of aerodynamic efficiency. Active body panels used by AMG in the front section also play an important role in optimizing the drag coefficient and wind evacuation at high speeds. We can also write the suspension side among the parts that are completely new. In the AMG-SL, where five-point independent architecture is used in the front section, multi-point independent suspension comes as standard at the rear. It is also noteworthy that there are hydraulic parts in the infrastructure to improve body oscillation. With the seventh generation, there are also innovations in the removable roof. The lighter panel will also take up less space in the trunk.
