Before Andrew Garfield and then Tom Holland took over the Spidey helm, there were actually more films planned with Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man. In Spider-Man 4, the Marvel hero was supposed to face off against Fiesling Vulture. 11 years after the project failed there is now a picture of his outfit.

The Marvel villain’s massive metal wings can be seen in the image. Malkovich (Being John Malkovich) was slated for the role, with the film slated for release in 2011. But then that torpedoed Disagreement between director Sam Raimi and producer Sony the project (via Deadline).

Spider-Man fans would have liked to see Malkovich back with the Vulture wings, which sport an unusually industrial look. The Marvel villain later made it to the big screen. Michael Keaton played him in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
