“Patients do not always enjoy going to the hospital and we have no parking problems here,” explains psychologist Christien Mensinga. That’s why she thinks they like to come to the Zonnehuis, in the woods just outside the village. So it is not only there for patients from the rehabilitation center, especially patients from the UMC have used it recently. They have called patients on the waiting list to ask if they would like to have their MRI done in Doorn instead of in the hospital. “This may also make it more accessible for people,” says Mensiga.
