The entire football world pays tribute to Zlatan Ibrahimovic today.
With every right as a fantastic playing career has just ended.
But “Ibra” himself offers a cheeky mockery of Mino Raiola in the middle of the farewell.
In 1999, a youngster struck Zlatan Ibrahimovic through as a super talent in Malmö FF. It was the start of a long and very successful football career where he conquered many countries on his way through Europe’s big clubs.
Zlatan’s farewell
Zlatan is now being hailed by the entire football world after the sudden announcement on Sunday evening that his playing career is officially over. Although there was reason for suspicion when he turned 41 years old, it still came as a shock message in connection with Milan’s last game of the season.

It was a visibly moved and tearful ‘Ibra’ who bid farewell to the Milan crowd on Sunday and there were emotional scenes on the pitch. After the match, Zlatan then held a long press conference where he said goodbye to football.

Ibra about Raiola
But in the middle of the big farewell, Ibrahimovic also offered a cheeky joke about before the friend and the agent Mino Raiola. Both of them met back in 2003 and would become a super duo that were always relevant as soon as a transfer window approached.

But just over a year ago, Raiola passed away unexpectedly, aged just 54. It affected Zlatan Ibrahimovic tremendously.
– Football was not the same after the tragedy with Mino. I was suddenly alone, I had no one by my side to talk about everything. I am very reserved about my own, but with Mino I have shared everything, says Zlatan at the press conference.

Zlatan’s joke
Then Ibra says the cheeky joke that makes the whole football world laugh.
– If Mino had decided, I would have continued to play, because he would have wanted the commission, says Zlatan with a big smile and looks up at the sky.
– Sorry Mino, but that’s the truth.
The clip of Zlatan’s joke about Raiola has been widely circulated on the site Reddit and many highlight what a great friendship Zlatan and Mino really had.
“You can tell how close they were to each other after this joke. Jokes like this can only be said about really close friends who have passed away,” writes one user.
“Somewhere out there, Raiola is smiling at this,” writes another.
“Ibra is real and will forever be a legend,” writes a third.
