Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s son Vincent Ibrahimovic has been called to a national team camp.
– He is one of 66 players I look forward to meeting, says Axel Kjäll, the national team captain.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the football boots on the shelf earlier this year. After a season marred by many injuries and little playing time for “Ibra”, he decided to end his magnificent career, 24 years after his first-team debut in Malmö FF.
Ibrahimovic’s departure
Zlatan thanked himself in connection with AC Milan’s season-ending match against Hellas Verona. In grand fashion, Ibra stepped onto the pitch after the match, to the great cheers of the crowd, and gave a fine speech.
Ibrahimovic’s last appearance in the Swedish national team was in the European Championship qualifier against Belgium on February 24, 2023, when he was substituted in the 73rd minute. the match ended 3–0 to Belgium.

Many probably thought it was the last we would see of an Ibrahimovic in blue and yellow. But not. Zlatan’s son Vincent Ibrahimovic has been selected in the 66-man squad of players born in 2008 who will conduct a training camp on Bosön in December 4–7. Vincent belongs to Milan’s youth academy on a daily basis.
– We have a larger camp with the aim of training and watching players born in 2008 in our national team environment. Vincent Ibrahimovic belongs to AC Milan’s organization which is a strong academy and is one of 66 players that I look forward to meeting here at Bosön during the camp at the beginning of December, says national team captain Axel Kjäll according to Sportbladet.
Vincent is celebrated
It is the first time one of Zlatan’s sons has been selected for the national team. Now it is about the P15 national team.
– I understand that there will be an uproar around the selection of Vincent Ibrahimovic. His father is one of the best Swedish players of all time and now it is the first time Vincent Ibrahimovic is involved, says Axel Kjäll to the evening newspaper.

Kjäll has got a good idea of Vincent as a player and pays tribute to the young talent.
– Based on the matches I have seen on video, he is a central midfielder who is good in his passing game, good at orienting himself on the pitch and also a good finisher, says the national team captain.
Zlatan’s eldest son Maximilian Ibrahimovic17, plays in Milan’s U18.
