Talk about giants in Swedish sports.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Peter Forsberg are the two greatest in the two greatest sports.
And there is so much respect between the two of them.
It cannot be denied that football and hockey are the two biggest sports in our elongated country. And the two biggest and most popular athletes in each, most agree are Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Peter Forsberg.
Zlatan & Foppa
Therefore, it is pure goosebumps to see both “Ibra” and “Foppa” side by side as equals. Two giants who conquered the world in their respective sports and really put Sweden on the map internationally.

Zlatan has piled up league titles with some of the world’s biggest clubs and set records as the national team’s top scorer on the men’s side. While Foppa is considered one of the world’s best hockey players of all time and is one of the few to have won Olympic gold, World Cup gold and the Stanley Cup twice.

Ibra’s tribute
In 2018, the two were united when Zlatan inaugurated his very own “Padel Zenter” in Årsta, Stockholm. Then Ibra was pitted against Foppa in an inaugural match with real star shine and the Swedish soccer star offered a powerful tribute to the hockey icon.
– I am so grateful, says “Ibra” in a statement according to Expressen.
– To get “Foppa” Forsberg here and to meet him live. To enjoy just being close to him. We talked about what we’ve done, what I’m still doing. I played with someone who had also been at the highest level.

Also Henrik Larsson and Paul Pogba was on site in Årsta to inaugurate the new padel hall. Pogba was the referee while “Henke” played in the same team as Forsberg – against Zlatan and the padel star Matias Diaz.
– He is my friend. It wasn’t that difficult to get him here, says Ibrahimovic about luring Henke Larsson to Årsta.
