Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s nice gesture in the middle of the grand final – suddenly turned away from the superstar

Novak Djokovic wrote tennis history.
Then he turned around – and thanked Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And the Swede himself responded with a nice gesture.

It was, to say the least, star-studded in the stands when the French Open final was decided on Sunday. Great players such as Kylian Mbappé, Olivier Giroud, Tom Brady (American football) – and Zlatan Ibrahimovic sat in the stands. And everyone would get a special thank you after the game.

Suddenly thanked Ibra

Novak Djokovic won the final against Norwegian Casper Ruud, and thus wrote all-time tennis history. Now, no player has won more grand slam titles than the 36-year-old Serbian. With the victory in the French Open, Djokovic has 23 in total, more than Rafael Nadal’s 22 and Roger Federer’s 20.

And after the match, Djokovic chose to thank the people in the stands. Djokovic suddenly turned around and started rattling off names.

– I want to thank the football stars for being here. Giroud, “Ibra”, Mbappé, Tom Brady. Thank you for coming here and supporting me. I hope you enjoyed this, Djokovic said.

The gesture from Zlatan

But Djokovic wasn’t done there. The superstar then turned specifically to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, saying.

– Ibra, we already know each other. You are my friend.

Zlatan himself responded with a nice gesture towards his friend Djokovic, when he took his hands and formed a heart with his fingers.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced a few weeks ago that he is ending his football career, and this was his first public appearance since that announcement. No one knows what will happen to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the future, but it seems clear that he is eyeing a role in Milan.

🗣 “Last but not least, I want to thank all the football stars who are here… Giroud, Ibra, Mbappé, Tom Brady… I want to thank you for coming here and supporting me!”
