– It’s not easy for him because his father is obviously who he is. So he carries a heavy surname. Wherever he goes, he will always be compared. But in Milan, in my role, I don’t see him any differently than others, says Ibra in an interview with The Athletic.
– I do not judge him as my son. I judge him as a player, as I judge everyone else. He has to learn, he has to work and he has to earn (the chance). Then what happens happens. He is strong mentally. People think that football is easy and that everyone succeeds. But that is not the case.

Zlatan is also fully aware that his two sons, Vincent Ibrahimovic is also a promising footballer, have completely different conditions than he himself had as a youngster. In terms of both security and financial conditions.
– 100 percent. He has to get that drive that I had in other ways. Where he gets it from, you’ll have to ask him. I can only speak as a father, says Zlatan in the interview.

My job as a father is to make him independent when he grows up. If I don’t make him independent, I’ve failed. I try to keep the balance, because when I was young, my father could not give me what I can give my son today. But my father did the best he could for me. And I do the same for my sons.
