Zlatan Ibrahimovic has said goodbye to his playing career.
He has also been selected in the Swedish national team.
Now Zlatan opens up about life, the new life and the confession of love Helena Seger.
It was last year that Zlatan Ibrahimovic put an end to his very successful playing career. He will be remembered as Swedish football’s best player of all time and a real world star right down to the tips of his fingers.
Zlatan’s career
It all started in Malmö FF during the late 90s and “Ibra” broke through as a super talent who charmed all of Sweden. He has since conquered Europe and belonged to some of the world’s biggest clubs in Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, PSG and Manchester United.

He continued to play past his 40th birthday but last autumn Zlatan made the final decision to hang up his boots on the famous shelf for good. Since then has stepped into Milan’s club organization as sporting advisor to the ownership group RedBird.
The words about Helena
Just over a week ago, Ibrahimovic also received his big thank you at the Friends arena from the Swedish national team. And now a new chapter in life awaits him in a more withdrawn role, where he has promised his life partner Helena Victory more space.
“She has already made it clear to me: ‘When you stop playing, I will start working and then you will take care of the day-to-day, as I have done so far’. Helena is tough. If she hadn’t been, she wouldn’t have fascinated me and she wouldn’t have lasted so long by my side,” Zlatan writes in his own book “Adrenalina”.

The promise is that Helena, who is eleven years older, will step out into working life again and take up her career, which has suffered from family life and Zlatan’s football career.
– If she hadn’t been eleven years older than me, she wouldn’t have stayed with me. But she had the patience to stay with me, despite how I was in the beginning. She also had her own career and didn’t have to ride on mine, says Ibrahimovic in an interview with the YouTube program AB Talks.

Together they have sons Maximilian and Vincent who have followed in their father’s footsteps and play in Milan’s youth team. Zlatan is so incredibly grateful that he had Helena Seger by his side and opens up about their relationship.
– She had her career but she gave it up because of me. She has been through everything with me, and she has given everything for me and she has also given up everything for me. It’s… How do I give back for that?, Zlatan admits in the interview.
– You can’t give more back, I won’t be able to get up to that level. Because she gave up everything for me, dreams and everything you have.
