Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of Swedish football’s greatest ever.
He has also left a huge mark on the world of football.
Now he gets to choose the best player – with whom he never played.
Today he is 42 years old and works as a sports advisor for AC Milan. The years have caught up Zlatan Ibrahimovic and nowadays he mostly gets to look back on his career.
Zlatan’s career
Because it was an absolutely fantastic football career that Zlatan created. From his youth in Malmö FF to conquering all of football Europe and representing major clubs such as Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, PSG and Manchester United.

“Ibra” has also left a deep impression in all the clubs he has played in and has won titles and trophies on a continuous basis around the football world. In Swedish football, he is the best football player of all time and around Europe he is the idol of many football lovers.
Choose the best
Zlatan has also played with many of the world’s best footballers in modern times and shared dressing rooms with giants. But now he gets to choose which footballer he would have liked to play with.

And then he chooses a true legendary.
– It’s a player like Paolo Maldini, I played against him but never got to play with him. If I had been allowed to play with such a player, I would have learned a lot, not only from him as a footballer but also as a person, admits Ibrahimovic in a TV interview, see it below.
When Zlatan played in Juventus and Inter, he was opposed Paolo Maldini several times and it was always just as difficult to get past him.
– I have heard so much about him and when I played against him it was never easy. But it also made one want to do more and want to be better. Because when you play against better backs, you need to do more to succeed with your stuff.
