Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns to the Champions League in the most unexpected role – but is met with massive criticism: “Who invited him”

The Champions League will change a lot.
Which has received a lot of criticism from football fans around the world.
And who will show up if not Zlatan Ibrahimovic himself.

Another Champions League season with the world’s best club teams is about to start. But this edition of the prestigious tournament will certainly not be the same.

Zlatan in CL

From this autumn, CL will change completely. It will no longer be group stage but a single big series that will decide who advances to the playoffs this spring.

The article continues below.

Uefa have now released a new commercial, watch it below, bringing together some of the world’s most famous footballers to mark the new era in the tournament’s illustrious history. And then nobody dives less than Zlatan Ibrahimovic up in a big role.
– What is this? I don’t understand anything, says one confused Luis Figo.
– He complains about everything…, says Gianluigi Buffon about Zlatan in particular.
– Who wrote this!?, says an angry “Ibra” in the video.

Reasonable criticism

But the new setup for the Champions League has not been well received at all by football supporters around the world. Where many cannot understand why you should change something that has worked so well for so many years.

“Thank you for ruining this tournament,” wrote another.
“Who invited Mr. 0 Champions League titles among all CL winners,” writes a third, referring to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
