The Fiorentina fans had unfurled a banner with the words: “Our world allows no interests”. Then they also sang: “You are laughable” and “You are the ruin of Italy” to the Milan supporters.

Football Italia writes that the reason for the massive taunts is that both Inter and Milan ultras were recently arrested in a large police raid aimed at arresting people within the mafia. Some of the illegal activity is said to have taken place outside Milan’s San Siro stadium.

Not only were Milan and its supporters laughed at by the opposition, they were also beaten on the pitch. Admittedly, there were three penalty misses in one and the same match (one from Fiorentina and two from Milan), but there were still some goals.
