Zlatan’s honest words
Zlatan has reached the age of 43 and had time to end his career and leave the Swedish national team before the new national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson took over. It was in February 2024 that the Dane took over as the new coach for the Swedish men’s national team.

Now Zlatan Ibrahimovic gives his honest assessment of what he thinks of Tomasson and his first year in Blågult.
– He brings something completely new that Sweden is not used to and he dares, says Zlatan in an interview with SVT.
– I am positive. We have a new coach and he dares to test many new players, which is exciting.
Tips for Tomasson
Sweden has produced three superstars in the Swedish national team right now, which is top class in the world. Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyökeres scoops in goals and Dejan Kulusevski has developed into a star player in the Premier League.
– Now we have a new generation of players who are fantastic, who give competition to each other, who make it difficult for each other and want to maximize everything, says Zlatan to the TV channel.
– The offense is crazy! There are many goals, there is a lot of imagination and a lot of creativity. The only thing is that they should become more interconnected. But that is Tomasson’s job, not their task, but it is the coach’s task and he is fully aware of that. If there’s no goal there, then damn it. Then I get to come back and help!
