Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 42, was for several years one of the world’s best forwards, and played in big clubs such as Juventus, Inter, Milan, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United. At the same time, he has also for several years had financial collaborations alongside the plan.
In an interview with the British media profile Piers Morgan, which is broadcast on TV4 Play, Ibrahimovic is asked if he knows how rich he is, and says that he is worth around half a billion dollars, equivalent to 5.5 billion Swedish kronor.
– Yes, but I don’t care about that. If I die tomorrow, what then? I’m thinking about the next step. It is not important to me, he says in the interview.
Money creates problems
Ibrahimovic believes that it is not important to him, as money does not mean happiness.
– Money creates problems, even in families. Money brings stress, the more you have the more stress. Where does it end? You can live a good life with normal with money, but what is normal with money? I’ve been on both sides. I have been penniless and I grew up in a family, where my father pulled in 1000 euros a month, and we were still fine. You have to pay bills and stuff, and then I don’t know what’s left. It was his money, and he gave me money when I needed it, but I had a good life, he says.
Ibrahimovic continues:
– Money makes your life easier, but I don’t think it brings you happiness. For me, joy is different moments. You can be happy about a situation now. My dream was to come to Barcelona, but after a year it was my nightmare. So it’s about moments.
