Adrien “ZeratoR” Nougaret offers us an Esport-oriented weekend with the ZLAN 2022, an event bringing together the flagship of French streaming and gaming for 72 hours. We will find web personalities and individuals in a fierce competition over more than ten different games, streamed live on Twitch. What are the dates for ZLAN 2022?

ZLAN 2022 will take place from Friday April 8 to Sunday April 10, 2022 in Lyon, or more precisely in the Double Mixte room in Villeurbanne. If you wish to attend the event live, know that the last day of the competition, namely Sunday April 10 from noon, will be open to the public. What is the program for ZLAN 2022?
Eleven games, 228 players and 76 trios so that at the end of the weekend there is only one winning trio left. This is the formula of the ZLAN 2022 which will be divided into three distinct competition phases. As of Friday, the players begin a first phase of eliminatory groups where the teams will be divided into four pools each comprising 19 trios. The first six trios of each group move on to the next phase, which will also be a group phase, with four groups of 6 teams. At the end of the second day of competition, the first two of each group will have access to the final phase with direct elimination. The quarters will take place on Saturday evening behind closed doors while from the semi-finals on Sunday April 10 the competition will take place in front of the public. The quarter-finals take place in BO3 (best of three matches), the semi-finals are BO5 and the final is a big BO7 including a mystery game.
Who is participating in ZLAN 2022?
Among the participants of the ZLAN 2022, there are trios of streamers but also trios of individuals drawn at random. In total, the event will bring together 228 players divided into 76 trios, among which we will find some well-known names such as Mickalow, KennyStream, Gotaga or Etoiles. The streamer teams number 40 while the raffle player teams make up the remaining 36. They compete in all and for all for a cashprize of €51,015.
What are the games and rules of ZLAN 2022?
The ZLAN has been a multi-gaming event since its first edition. That is to say that the players compete in several different games, which this year are eleven in number. It includes Apex Legends, Worms WMD, ZUTOM, Elden Ring, Riders Republic, Rocket League, Age of Empires 4, Fall Guys, Hotwheels Unleashed, Pro Soccer Online and a mystery game that will be revealed during the final. If some games make it easy to designate the winner of a confrontation, others less so. This is particularly the case for Elden Ring, the successful RPG presents an adventure relatively reserved for solo play. We detail the rules of the confrontations specific to each game.
- Elden Ring : Relay Speedrun, players pass the controller and have 45 minutes to kill 3 bosses (Dragon Agheel, Godrick, Crimson Wolf of Radagon). The fastest team wins.
- ZUTOM : Find fifteen words in a given time with as few tries as possible. Each player will be alone in front of his keyboard.
- Rocket League : A BO3 between the two trios, only in the final phase.
- Age of Empires IV : General melee in team relay on a map bringing together six trios. Players must mouse over every five minutes.
- Apex Legends : Custom games where the number of kills and the final placement earn points. The final phase of the ZLAN will be played on arenas in 3v3.
- Pro Soccer Onlinee: Matches in 3v3 of 5 minutes during a BO5, only in the final phase.
- Hotwheels Unleashed : Races against other players bringing together 6 players from different teams in the group stages, and a trio against another in the final stage.
- Fall Guys : Games bringing together players from the same pool during the first phase of the competition and from two pools in the second phase, each event won earns one point per team, and a victory earns 5 points.
- Riders Republic : A massive 57-player race during the first group phase, and a 6-player versus race during the final phase.
- Worms WMD : Deathmatches involving 4 teams of six worms (two per player) in the group stage, deathmatches involving 2 teams of six worms (two per player) in the final stage.
