Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa was sworn in for a second term on Monday, September 4, at the main stadium in the capital Harare. The “Crocodile”, as he is nicknamed, who is about to celebrate his 81st birthday, was proclaimed the winner of the presidential election by the Zimbabwean Electoral Commission, despite reports from international observers which highlight the numerous violations of democratic rules.
