Zimbabwe elections extended by a day due to delays opposition

Some six million Zimbabwean voters were called to the polls on Wednesday August 23 for a presidential and legislative election marked by delays and incidents. All eyes were on the duel between incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his main rival Nelson Chamisa. The opposition denounced “fraud” and “obstruction” in a vote supposed to end on Wednesday, but it was extended for another day in some offices due to logistical problems.
