Terminator: Zero draws attention with its exciting trailer. The new anime series will be released on Netflix on August 29.
Netflix, Skydance, Production IG, Masashi Kudo and Mattson Tomlin have released a trailer for their new Terminator anime series. The trailer offers a first look at the series.
Terminator: Zero Trailer Released
Starring Timothy Olyphant, Rosario Dawson, Sonoya Mizuno, André Holland, and Ann Dowd, Terminator: Zero tells the story of scientist Malcolm Lee, who develops an artificial intelligence that can compete with Skynet. Lee finds himself and his three children being pursued by an unknown robot assassin.
The trailer doesn’t give away much, but no one can deny that it’s not similar to other installments in the Terminator series. It features classic elements like androids with half their faces missing, a nuclear apocalypse, and a cool-looking female protagonist. There’s also some striking new footage of a parka-wearing T-800 and a small cave search-and-rescue robot in a yellow raincoat.
The trailer suggests a new and disruptive take on familiar material, promising “it’s not what you think it is”, but as the end suggests, “there’s no going back, not really”, so it’s hard to predict what’s going to happen.
Terminator: Zero premieres August 29, only on Netflix.
