Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy again describes Russia’s attack on the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya as terror.
Russian terrorists became the first in the world to use a nuclear power plant for terror, says Zelensky in Saturday evening’s speech on Facebook.
He adds that additional sanctions against Russia should be imposed in response to the attack.
Ukraine’s nuclear power agency Energoatom says parts of the facility were damaged after military attacks on Friday and that one of its reactors was forced to shut down.
According to a statement from the authority on the messaging app Telegram, there is still a risk of leakage of hydrogen and radioactive substances, and the risk of fire is high.
