While the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, the outcome of the negotiations is curious. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy made an assessment of the negotiations with Russia, which stopped after Bucha and Borodyanka, in an online statement to the local media.
TWO SEPARATE DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS OF ZELENSKY
Pointing out that a peace agreement with Russia should consist of two separate documents, Zelenskiy said, “One of them should be about Ukraine’s security guarantee and the other one should be about its direct relationship with the Russian Federation. Moscow wants to have a single agreement that includes the solution of all problems, but everyone feels himself/herself.” “He doesn’t see it fully at the table with Russia. Security guarantees are a separate issue for them, and Ukraine’s agreements with Russia are another.” used the phrases.
Zelenskiy noted that at the moment, Britain, the USA, Italy and Turkey are ready to be the guarantors of Ukraine’s security, but no definite answer has yet been received from anyone.
Pointing out that the situation in Mariupol could be 10 times more than what happened in Borodyanka, Zelenskiy said, “I would like to say that the destruction of our soldiers and men (in Mariupol) would be the end of all negotiations (with Russia).” said.
MEDAL TO UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS
On the other hand, Zelenskiy presented medals to Ukrainian soldiers who fought with Russian soldiers at the front. Making a statement by sharing the images on his social media account where the soldiers were presented with medals, Zelenskiy said, “Before the war, we used to say let’s stay in touch with each other calmly. I would never have thought that we would phrase these sentences any other way because of the war. “I am grateful to our soldiers for their special work,” he said.
On the other hand, Zelenskiy, in a statement about Ukraine’s military personnel losses, reported that nearly 3 thousand Ukrainian soldiers lost their lives and approximately 10 thousand Ukrainian soldiers were injured. (AA/UAV)
