The anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been full of meetings and speeches and statements by Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
In the morning, the Ukrainian president gave a speech in which he emphasized that it had been “a year of pain, sorrow, faith and unity”.
In the afternoon, Zelenskyj met a large international press gathering in Kiev – where, among others, TV4 Nyhetern’s Anders Kraft took part.
When the latter took the opportunity to ask Zelenskyj about today’s new support package from Sweden, the president thanked him for the help.
– This is a significant aid package and we have very good relations with Sweden, said Zelenskyj.
But he then followed up with a somewhat cryptic statement that a “very important decision” is currently being made. However, exactly what Zelenskyj meant is unclear.
– It’s a difficult job and I don’t want to give away any details now. We must all prepare.
