Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj writes on X that he is grateful for the French President Emmanuel Macron’s attempt to achieve peace in Ukraine.
Peace must not “mean that Ukraine capitulates or collapses,” writes Zelenskyj and continues:
“It must be fair, reliable and lasting, and this can only be achieved through strong and long -term security guarantees – for Ukraine, Europe and the whole world.”
Finally, the president writes that he is looking forward to “working together with the steps towards peace in the coming days”.
