Finnish soldier dead in Ukraine

A Finnish man has died in combat in eastern Ukraine, writes Hufvudstadsbladet.

Aleksi Lysander, who fought as a volunteer in Ukraine, turned 35 years old. According to the newspaper, he had enlisted in the infamous French Foreign Legion as an 18-year-old.

Romania and Bulgaria in Schengen

Swedish-connected man arrested for knife crime

At least two people were taken to hospital after being attacked with a knife outside a grocery store in Berlin on New Year’s Eve.

According to SR, which refers to the police in Berlin, the man must be a Syrian citizen but resident in Sweden.
