Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj kicks state prosecutor Iryna Venediktova and security chief Ivan Bakanov. The reason is that their employees collaborated with Russia.
“More than 60 employees at the public prosecutor’s office and at the SBU (security service) have remained in occupied territory and opposed our country,” Zelenskyj told the Telegram messaging service.
Venice dictator is replaced by Deputy Prosecutor General Oleksij Symonenko. It is unclear who will take over from Bakanov.
