Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the Ukrainian delegation is returning from the NATO summit in Vilnius with important promises.

– It is very important that during these two days of the summit we have put aside all doubts and uncertainties about whether Ukraine will join NATO, says the Ukrainian president in a speech published on the night of Thursday, after the NATO summit in Vilnius.

– For the first time, not only do all allies agree on this, but a significant majority in the alliance is strongly pushing for it, Zelenskyj continues.

On Wednesday afternoon, the G7 countries presented a declaration on security guarantees to Ukraine, including on deliveries of defense equipment.

This includes, among other things, reinforced air defense, robots, combat vehicles and artillery, according to Zelensky.

The guarantees are expected to support Ukraine pending the country’s possible entry into NATO.

– These are concrete security guarantees that are confirmed by the seven leading democracies in the world. Never before have we had such a basis for security, says Zelensky.

He also thanks the countries that are preparing the training of Ukrainian pilots on the F16 fighter jet starting “within a few weeks”.
