Zelenskyi did not clarify at the press conference on Saturday whether humanitarian aid has been suspended.

The United States suspended almost all foreign aid on Friday. The country only made exceptions for emergency food aid and military aid to Israel and Egypt.

Foreign minister Marco Rubio reported the tightening in an internal memo seen by the AFP news agency.

According to the memorandum, new funding will not be released until each new aid target or extension related to a previous target has been separately reviewed and approved. The memorandum demanded that all foreign aid be investigated internally within 85 days.
