The US and Britain released new support packages for Ukraine

President of the United States Joe Biden unveiled a major aid package for Ukraine on Friday.

Foreign minister Antony Blinken according to, among other things, the monetary value of the package containing artillery supplies and research is about $ 150 million. However, in its own statement, Biden did not specify the size of the aid package in dollars. The United States has already sent more than $ 3.4 billion worth of weapons to Ukraine.

Britain also announced a new support package on Friday. The country plans to donate nearly 300 portable electricity generators to Ukraine. The matter was reported by the British Department of the Economy and Industry.

According to the ministry, the generators are to be used to generate power for hospitals, shelters and other essential services in eastern Ukraine.

Britain has already donated nearly 600 generators to Ukraine.

Zelenskyi: Take air alerts seriously

In his daily speech, Volodymyr Zelenskyi called on all citizens to take air alerts seriously.

– Don’t ignore air strikes. Please, this is your life, the life of your children, the President said, adding that the regulations on outdoor activities must also be complied with.

According to the president, access to Russian-owned forests is also banned due to possible mines.

Zelenskyi said evacuations from Mariupol and Azovstal continued with the help of the UN and the Red Cross. He added that through diplomacy, the goal is also to get the soldiers left there from Azovstal.

Zelensky, who addressed the Icelandic parliament on Friday, was visited in Kiev by the foreign ministers of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
